Your cat's sounds are analyzed on your phone and are never uploaded.
No ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking, and we do not sell data.
Data leaves your phone only in 3 cases: when you sign in, when you send a problem report, and when you share a recording yourself.
Microphone
Used only while you tap listen.
A sound model built into the app (YAMNet) separates cat sounds from other noise. It runs fully on your phone and needs no internet.
No audio is sent to us or anywhere else.
Recordings
Each listening session is saved as a sound file on your phone, so you can play it again or let your vet hear it.
Only the newest 20 files are kept. Older files are deleted by the app.
A recording leaves your phone only when you tap share and choose where to send it.
Camera
Used only when you tap "Watch your cat on camera", so you can see your cat and pick what they are doing.
The app only shows the camera view on screen. It takes no photos, records no video, and stores or sends no images.
Stored on your phone
The cat profile you fill in, your last 20 results, and a summary of each listening session (sound type, pitch, length; not the sound itself).
Your answers on whether a result was right, the night-calling log, your language choice, and whether you have unlocked the profile page.
This stays on your phone and is not uploaded, even when you are signed in.
You can remove all of it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
Sign-in (optional)
You can tap "Continue without signing in". Every feature still works.
If you sign in with Google, or with Apple on iPhone, Google's Firebase Authentication stores your account ID, email, name, profile photo and sign-in times.
If you use Apple and hide your email, we receive an address made by Apple instead of your real email.
We use this only to identify your account and to reply to your problem reports.
"Report a problem"
Sent to us only when you tap "Send":
The report type, the text you type, and any photos you choose to attach (up to 3; the app shrinks them and removes hidden data such as photo location first).
App version, device model, operating-system version, and the screen you reported from.
If you are signed in: your email and account ID, so we can reply (the report screen says this before you send).
Sent over an encrypted connection to our server on Cloudflare (hubq-api.kampanatth0222.workers.dev).
The server keeps a one-way code made from your internet address, only to stop too many reports in a row. It cannot be turned back into your address.
Used only to investigate and fix problems.
In-app purchase
Unlocking the cat profile page (a one-time purchase) is paid through Google Play or the App Store.
We never see or store your payment details. The app only remembers on your phone that the page is unlocked.
Fonts
The first time the app opens, it downloads its fonts from Google Fonts. Like visiting any website, this lets Google see your phone's internet address. The app sends none of your data with it.
What we do not do
No location and no contacts.
No ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking across apps.
We do not sell or give your data to anyone.
The app is not made for children under 13.
How long we keep data, and deletion
Your sign-in account is kept until you ask us to delete it.
Problem reports are kept only as long as needed to fix the problem. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
To delete your account and data, see Delete account or email us below.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
